  where the epaper is ("backside" of PCB), the case needs to press it
  onto the pads.
- battery not figured out properly yet...... one with a plug would be
  best; maybe go and check out RC shops for RC battery packs.

The space where "virt keyb" points is quite narrow though, so I don't
think we can fit 30 symbols for an alphabet in there. I think that would
only work well with this:

The only real disadvantage here is that we lose like 3 or so pixel rows
of the eink as the touch is juuust narrower than the epaper
usable-screen-area length. The epaper flat band cable would easily fit
around the PCB edge, as we've seen on sunday. So this is still a
possibility, but since the eInk's non-screen length then extends past
the width of the touch, the phone would be at least 72mm wide (eInk
length) and 77+antenna mm long (touch length).
(as opposed to ~ 64 x 77+ant mm)
...so at the end of the day, I don't like the 90° rotated eInk,
IMHO they should both be 'portrait' (or both 'landscape').

Someone pointed out that it would be more versatile to have the kb
displayed on the eink (languages, special characters, unicode and such).

Usable area is about 2mm from each of 3 edges.
The fourth edge has a wider distance to the usable area: 6mm.
The fourth edge is one of the longer (76.6mm) edges, and also has the
cable. The cable is 15mm wide for ~3mm of cable length, then within 1mm
of length narrows to 5mm wide (cable is altogether ~ 49.5mm long).
Looking onto the touchable side with the cable to the left, the 15mm
wide section starts ~15mm from the bottom edge and ends ~46mm from the
top edge.
15 + 15 + 46 = 76.0 < 76.6; The .6 is twice .3mm leeway for cable,
so the fourth edge is actually sectioned as
15.0 + 15.6 + 46.0  =  76.6 mm

The touch has uneven amount of inactive area on one side,
so it's not really centered in the case.

The eink could go slightly to right depending on "scroll bar" width.

If that tin-foil-on-acryl-edges works, we might even bevel
the acryl edges 45°, stick tin foil on it, and then we can light the
acrylic layer from the bottom with upwards pointing leds :)

might be good to only bevel exactly where a led is, so the other light
reaching the edges is reflected straight back in all the other places.
Or more tin foil on the bottom :) with holes for the leds and eink :)

an angle slightly lessarger than 45° might even be desirable, so it goes
slightly downwards towards the eink.

super! man könnte den noch so wie eine skateboard quarter-pipe rund
machen, weil jetzt knickt es am Ende vom breiten Kabel 90° ab. eine
quarter pipe könnte das breite stück kabel etwas sanfter hochbeugen...

I also noticed now that because the eink is a lot longer than its active
area, and because its cable comes out the bottom, and because we push
the eink to the top of the touch, the leds can only go on the sides
really. There is about 1 cm of wideness left, so there could be 5mm
space for display lighting on each side of the eink (if we stay within
the bounds of the touch panel). If we also go further to the side under
the front case, there's about 1.5cm altogether, so like 5mm on one and
10 mm on the other side.
